Updated for iPhone 6 & 6 Plus. Also iOS 8! More updates on their way!

Agility iMap is the ultimate course designer for dog agility on the iPad. Feel the freedom to design a course with your fingers!! No longer tied down to a desk. Whenever inspiration strikes iMap is ready. Now draw your courses in Meters or Feet.

Morsifer 8/24 UK - I saw on itunes and bought it and it is BRILLIANT! in less than 5 minutes I have entered 2 training sequences I want to set up tomorrow - the second one I cloned the first and moved the numbers around to creat a new sequence and all it took was 10secs!! I am really pleased - No more pieces of paper blowing around the garden.

Universal application that runs on iPad & iPhone.

It is actually fun designing courses and agility exercises while laying in bed, lounging on the sofa. Anytime you want, anywhere you want.

Full pan and pinch zoom. Everything is done with your fingers. This is what the iPad experience is all about. It just feels right.

Agility iMap has a full set of standard agility obstacles. There currently is no customization of obstacle specs (like how tall you AFrame is). Maps can be created from 10x10 ft up to 120x120 ft.

Export courses in PDF, JPG, PNG, IMAP format. Email courses to yourself or others. Full course map browser integrated into the Agility iMap. Allowing you to manage your collection of courses. With features like clone a course, to quickly reuse a course with slight modifications.

Pros and cons of Agility iMap HD app for iPhone and iPad

Agility iMap HD app good for

Now in version 1.1 very good. Make the handling of tunnelshapes better and I add the fifth star.
Im testing it out and theres already some features Id like to see. Judges are starting to use different length sets of weave poles so Id like to be able to specify the number of poles. I was recently at a trial where they used 10 rather than 12 poles. And the judge this past weekend said a judge he knew just did a course with 9 poles rather than 12. Problem one (really minor). On my screen when the default map came up that was just 30x40 or something like that, the buttons were overlaying each other. "New" was actually under "Clone". There was room for it not to be like that though. And when I went to a 90x120 course then the buttons spaced out and were fine. Problem two, I cant manage to place just one number. I tap and it places two numbers, one right on top of the other. This is probably me though. I probably need to get used to the touch interface. Problem three, there doesnt seem to be any way to ask questions. If you go to the Support page theres no e-mail address or way to post a question so thats a negative in my book. Problem four (and Im sure this can be easily fixed) the virtual screen size when in landscape and portrait. When youre in portrait the course map ends above the buttons but if you turn to landscape the screen ends at the bottom of the physical screen which puts part of the map underneath the buttons. You cant scroll so youre forced to go to portrait to place obstacles on this part of the map. There doesnt seem to be the ability to place path arrows. I love to reproduce courses and put the path that I took in one color and the path the dog took in another. Something for a future release. Its great though. Having a lot of fun with it!
I am trying out iMap and iLog to try to get rid of some of my paper and record what I did in my runs. So far it is fun. I will pass on a few suggestions to the developer. Hopefully he can work them in. As I play more, I will update the review. I have combined this with a PDF annotation app.
This is a great app that will only get better as the author develops it further. Very intuitive to use. The ability to email the course is very nice. I find the iPad version to be a lot easier to use. The iPhone just has too small of a screen to make course design easy...but maybe that is just me and my fat fingers and older eyes. Eric has promised an update soon that will bring obstacles in for NADAC (hoops...yes, they are silly but they are what they are a part of that venue so we need to be able to design with them) along with other improvements for other venues and some bug fixes. For now I just use jumps to denote where hoops are and use the numbering tool to put a different marker by them. I plan to also use this to take notes at Agility class and trials with combinations and situations that are causing my dogs and I trouble so I can set them up at home and work on them.
It would be great if you can take course map picture from Photos on I pad and create map. They have false advertisement when you create, camera and photos come up. Photos do not com up Dont email him questions because he does not respond. I tried 4 times. Eric is not user friendly

Some bad moments

This app is a good idea but seems to be full of bugs and doesnt work well. Ive had courses completely disappear. The developers web site is either down or no longer exists, so there is no longer support. Perhaps this is yet another developer who has abandoned a project and left purchasers high and dry.
The basic specks of this app work well enough. It does take some getting used to using the rotate slider to change the angle of an obstacle. Changing the curve and angle of a tunnel is nearly an impossible task, be satisfied with coming close. That being said, dont try to import an imap (clicking on it as an attachment to an email). It will only cause this app to crash, and your only recourse is to delete the app, and re-download and install. To bad if you had other maps...theyre now gone. The annoying click/sound everything you touch something CANNOT be silenced. Tried turning the volume all the way down and/or muting sound, no go, seems the authors has gone around the usual way of controlling sounds/volume. I wanted this app to be able to quickly copy or create courses on the fly - and for that, it is adequate. But dont try to do anything much further, or expect your issues to EVER be resolved. This guy is collecting the sales money and the user be damned. Buyer beware.
